Since graduating in 1984 from Hillsdale College, Mr. Van Gorder has had the pleasure of working with individuals to meet their investment, retirement and financial objectives. He began his career in Chicago working on voluntary benefit plans, executive deferred compensation programs and helping individuals with their estate planning needs. He has an extensive background in Retirement Plans. He also had the privilege of working with his father, Donald A. Van Gorder, Sr., who represented Aetna Life Insurance Company from 1951, up until his retirement in 1991. Mr. Van Gorder assists individuals with their individual life and disability income insurance and investment goals.
Mr. Van Gorder, Jr., is a member of The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and past Board Member of The Lansing Association of Life Underwriters and Board of Advisors for the Volunteers of America of Greater Lansing. Mr. Van Gorder has earned the distinguished designation of Charter Life Underwriters (CLU) and the professional designation is from the American College.
